Kids Judge Bett

#KidsJudgeBett - Get involved!

Pupils and parents from schools across the UK, including SEND and FE students, are invited to get involved in exploring stands, exhibitors and their products to choose their favourites in ten hotly contested categories.

The results are announced by the students in a high-energy nail biting finale, live at Bett, where ten very honoured companies will receive the extremely coveted and delicious chocolate trophies. This student led event, running throughout the week, is organised by Katy Potts, Islington Council in partnership with BESA (British Educational Suppliers Association).

Take part

Schools attending the show on Wednesday and Thursday can tweet their favorites via #kidsJudgeBett or contact Katy via Twitter on @KatyPotts to meet her at the show as she’ll be there every day.

Then, on Friday 31 March, a group of 8 schools will visit the Bett show and make their final selections. The winners will be announced on the Arena theatre at 2.15pm -2.45pm with the very tasty awards being presented by the students.

If you want to get involved at the final Friday event 2023 the key requirements are:

  • You can bring an enthusiastic group of 8-10 pupils and staff to take part on Friday 31st March at the ExCeL, London
  • You’re available to attend the show between 9.30am to 3.30pm
  • You're able to use your school twitter account to tweet in run up to event and on the day
  • Your students can prepare fun simple #KidsJudgeBett posters to bring on the day
  • You and your students will act in strict impartiality inc. not accepting of gifts from suppliers (no matter how tempting )

If that all sounds good then tweet @KatyPotts to get involved!

"Winning an award is a wonderful feeling, but winning one that was judged by children was uplifting, and the most meaningful award we have ever received.  Who better to give us a seal of approval than the very people we created now press play for. Thank you Kids Judge Bett!"
