Evidence-based priorities for Southeast Asia.
The COVID-19 crisis has impacted the world in unprecedented ways, accelerating both challenges and opportunities. The rapid shift towards new approaches to working, living and learning has become an absolute necessity for the continued productivity of current and future generations.
In November 2020, Bett convened Southeast Asian Ministries of Education, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and solutions providers as part of a roundtable supported by HP, discussing how the region’s experiences of and responses to the COVID-19 crisis have impacted their long-term priorities. This white paper collates and grounds this discussion in findings from relevant research and example case studies from the region, identifying evidence-based, long-term priorities for securing the future of education and work in Southeast Asia.
