Based on new research with 1,054 UK undergraduates, A Degree of Doubt explores how students really feel about the value of their degree, their prospects after graduation and how prepared they are for the world of work.

As AI transforms the workplace and competition for graduate jobs grows, A Degree of Doubt reveals where students want universities to go further - from greater transparency around career outcomes to stronger links between learning and the world of work.

- 66% were not proactively told what proportion of graduates from their subject go on to graduate-level jobs.
- 61% are worried their degree will not lead to a job that justifies the cost of their student loan.
- 34% say their university has been completely straight with them about where their degree could lead.
- Around 7 in 10 say their course teaches little or nothing about how AI is used in the jobs they are preparing for.

40% want more real-world projects with companies in their field – the most popular change students would make.

78% would have been interested in a technology-personalised degree that could be completed in less than the standard three or four years.
