You asked for more focus on Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and for Bett UK 2025 we are introducing a brand new SEND Village! This vibrant new space brings more opportunities, resources and innovations to SEND educators and their learners. This exciting new addition represents our commitment to driving inclusion and ensuring that every learner has access to the tools, resources and support they need to thrive.

The SEND Village will be a dynamic hub for collaboration, discovery and inspiration. Focused on inclusivity, giving educators the chance to explore cutting-edge tools, share insights and dive into conversations that matter most for SEND education.

Why the SEND Village matters

Around two in five children are recorded to have some kind of special educational need at some point between reception and Year 11 (Hutchinson, 2021*). Based on this it is likely that there is a child with special educational needs and disabilities in every classroom, making SEND a part of every teacher and school leader’s role. the SEND Village at Bett 2025 will serve as a dedicated platform to showcase cutting-edge tools, technologies and strategies crafted specifically to improve learning outcomes for these students.

The importance of addressing the specific needs of SEND learners cannot be overstated. These learners often require customised approaches, which means educators need innovative tools and strategies to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, can succeed in the classroom. By creating the SEND Village, we are putting inclusion at the forefront, ensuring that SEND education is not just an add-on but a core part of the conversation.

By exchanging insights and sharing proven practices, they’ll have the chance to learn from one another and bring fresh ideas back to their institutions. The challenges faced in SEND education are distinct, but so too are the successes. Every breakthrough, whether big or small, makes a profound impact on the lives of learners, and the SEND Village aims to celebrate those achievements while fostering the collaboration needed to tackle the future of SEND education head-on.
