We are thrilled to announce that Bett has officially joined the UNESCO Global Education Coalition, a partnership dedicated to supporting education systems worldwide to advance SDG 4, especially in times of crisis. This collaboration reinforces Bett's commitment to improving global education through innovation, inclusivity and collaboration.
What is the UNESCO Global Education Coalition?
Launched in March 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UNESCO Global Education Coalition was created to ensure learning continuity for students worldwide during unprecedented disruptions. The Coalition comprises over 175 partners, including international organisations, private companies, academic institutions and civil society groups, all working together to promote inclusive and equitable education for all.
The Coalition’s mission is to support the most vulnerable learners by leveraging technology and innovative solutions to bridge the digital divide, ensuring access to quality education even in the most challenging circumstances. Through the mobilisation of resources, expertise and networks, the Coalition offers various forms of support such as digital learning solutions, teacher training and educational content.
What does this mean for Bett?
As the world’s largest education technology event, bringing together over 1,000 leading companies alongside over 70,000 educators, Bett plays a crucial role in showcasing the latest innovations that can truly drive better education, globally. By joining the UNESCO Global Education Coalition, Bett strengthens its mission to foster a better future for education.

Ministerial Roundtable 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
To drive meaningful change across Southeast Asia, we hosted a significant Ministerial Roundtable in partnership with the UNESCO Global Education Coalition. The roundtable dialogue was structured around a new common framework for the digital transformation of education, created by the Digital Transformation Collaborative, a group of partners of the UNESCO Global Education Coalition dedicated to human-centred, sustainable, equitable and balanced digital transformation of education. The six pillars of the framework represent the essential components of holistic strategies for using technology to improve education. Read more about the common framework here.
The roundtable brought together key education leaders and policymakers to discuss some of the most pressing challenges facing global education and reflect on the six pillars framework. Key challenges highlighted included unequal access to digital resources and the need for teachers to embrace continuous learning and effective use of technology. The panellists also stressed the importance of sustainability in education and how AI can help tackle inequality and climate change. This is just a glimpse of what was discussed, stay tuned for a detailed post-event report, coming soon!
Looking ahead to a united vision for educationAt Bett, we believe that education has the power to change lives, and we are honoured to be part of a coalition that shares this vision. In partnership with the UNESCO Global Education Coalition, our shared goal is to accelerate progress towards a world where education is inclusive, accessible and effective for every learner.
We invite our community to join us in this journey. Let’s continue to innovate, collaborate and drive the changes needed to create a brighter future for global education.
