Learn just how easy it is for just one of the arts to be implemented into your school as part of PE lessons through a programme that has been written in line with the national curriculum and with the teacher especially in mind. Understand how you can energise your classroom with simple to use, easy to follow Schemes of Work and try it for yourself to see how being more physically active helps to promote a happier mind. Specifically created for children from all backgrounds and abilities, Darcey's charity 'DDMIX for Schools' provide the opportunity to experience movement to music in an effective, simple and enjoyable learning environment. The cultural diversity of the programme enables students to engage with a variety of cultures and decades, whilst acting as a platform to explore their own creativity and self-expression. Through guided learning, children acquire knowledge of the foundations and developments of dance, whilst instilling an understanding of the importance and great benefits of being active. Through both individual and group activities, performance and reflection, children gain awareness, respect and kindness to their self and others. Whilst enjoying learning through movement and dance, they nurture their own wellbeing and grow into healthy, well-accomplished young people.
