With staff retention being one of the many challenges facing leaders and policy makers, this session takes a closer look at how to build motivated and confident expert teachers. We'll take a look at two different professional development strategies, the first from a large secondary school group, and the second from a FE college. After two case study presentations, there'll be a discussion covering: common challenges, what to do when nothing works, sharing peer to peer expertise, coaching and book studies amongst other solutions. Audience questions will be encouraged.
