Estelle will build a simple maze game in Construct 3 that demonstrates various programming constructs and concepts, highlighting these as she goes along. Concepts covered include: sequence, selection, iteration, data types, variables and algorithms. The demonstration will also look at the use of part-baked games (games which are partially completed so students can focus on one particular area) as a method for illustrating difficult concepts in a visual format. This method is employed by Digital Schoolhouse in several of their workshops and the presentation will close with links for attendees to access these free resources.
