Gain an insight into how The BRIT School, a free but selective school for 14-19-year-olds specialising in creative and performing arts, embeds technology into their everyday learning and creative processes. This session will highlight how BRIT embeds technology within the creative curriculum and how students are facilitated to independently explore the technology that suits their needs. BRIT students from across the school strands (creative disciplines) will discuss, and demonstrate, how technology is used by teachers and themselves, to enhance their learning and accessibility to work. From the use of free-to-use/access tools and resources to organise, manage and differentiate, to using professional design software and applications on mobile devices to create industry-standard digital designs, students will cover how technology is embedded in their everyday life at the school. They will discuss the accessibility to learning it brings, as well as what it means for their future prospects as a designer, entrepreneurs, or general polymaths.
