In this session Dr Rebecca Lawton will share how she works internationally with clinicians to find innovative uses of technology to support learners. She will share how and why they creative bespoke content for their immersion rooms, how they use QT, an autism robot, to enhance the clinical and academic achievement of learners with autism, and how esports and gamification can be used in the classroom. This session will show how large special school chains can engage and work together with technology providers to explore new uses for emerging technology, such as wearables. It will look at what the sector needs to enhance the life and learning of students and how that innovation and knowledge can be applied within a mainstream setting.
