Who am I?

Fred Teach 
Future Kids Primary School, UK 

I’m a dynamic Primary school teacher with a class of year 5 students aged 9-10. I am responsible for my classroom management but have influence on purchasing. In the past I've had been designated additional responsibility for IT across the primary school. I’m not part of the decisional power but an active influencer on pedagogy and strategy in my institution.

What are my current challenges?

  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with parents on their child’s learning
  • Sourcing tools and approaches to ensure active student engagement in blended learning and building healthy screen time habits
  • Developing students' digital skills through exposing them to a range of applications and tools
  • Identifying and harnessing digital assistive technologies to help develop SEND students as independent learners
  • Harnessing technology to support students’ metacognition, social emotional development and self-regulation

How does Bett help me overcome my challenges?

  • By helping me to identify and test out solutions to streamline workload, engage learners and build future skills into the curriculum
  • By showcasing a range of approaches to SEND and assistive technologies
  • By giving me a chance to understand how to get senior leadership on board with new approaches to learning or identifying low-cost solutions
  • By offering case studies on achieving higher learning outcomes through the effective use of technology both in person and online
