Viv Hocking is an early career researcher in the field of computing based at the University of Plymouth in the Southwest of England. Vivian is engaged as a research student for a PhD in Computing, investigating technological aspects of violence against women and girls in situations of domestic abuse.
Alongside his research, Vivian work as a demonstrator for the School of Engineering, Computing & Mathematics at the University, teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. Viv also works as part of the Student Digital Champion team at the University, helping to coordinate digital skills peer-support within the University community.
