Velislava Hillman (PhD) is founder of EDDS, Education Data Digital Sovereignty where she leads an independent team of international experts providing comprehensive audit and evaluation of EdTech vendors which goes beyond data privacy assessments. Dr Hillman works with international organisations and research experts from Europe to the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Japan, and partners with leading pedagogic organisations to conduct a comprehensive auditing regime for transparency and accountability in the EdTech sector. EDDS prioritises human rights, socio-ethical, cybersecurity, and pedagogic excellence in its assessment of EdTechs and drives the industry towards an ethical race to the top.
