Tina Wang
Tina Wang is the Founder and CEO of MentorMind Education, a UK-based EdTech startup developing AI-supported learning tools for secondary education. As an international educator and school leader with over eight years’ experience teaching in top independent and state schools in the UK and internationally, Tina has held teaching and middle leadership roles across diverse education systems, giving her first-hand insight into the academic pressures faced by students and the increasing workload demands placed on teachers.
She is currently completing a postgraduate degree at UCL Institute of Education, where her academic work focuses on research-informed professional learning, leadership, and the responsible use of evidence in education. Tina’s practice is strongly shaped by bridging classroom realities with rigorous educational research.
MentorMind works with schools through small-scale pilots to develop curriculum-aligned, safeguarding-conscious uses of AI that support GCSE and A-Level learning to effectively enhance student learning and reduce teacher workload. The company is part of UCL EdTech Labs, EdTech Access, and the UCL CDI Impact Accelerators, reflecting its commitment to evidence-informed innovation and meaningful school partnerships.
