Since becoming Director of UNICEF’s Global Office of Innovations in 2021, Thomas has led the expansion of child-centered innovations worldwide, collaborating closely with private sector and government leaders. He has redefined UNICEF Innovation, driving transformative change with his team, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AI, blockchain, and data science to create scalable, impactful solutions for children. Thomas also advises the UN Secretary General’s office on emerging technologies, focusing on global frameworks such as the Global Digital Compact to create an equitable future for all children. He serves on the boards of the Global Digital Public Good Alliance and the UN Innovation Network and supports partnerships through the World Economic Forum and Broadband Commission.
