With over ten years of expertise in digital education and policymaking, Sümeyye Hatice Eral serves as Head of the Department for Digital Skills at the Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies, Ministry of National Education of Türkiye.

Sümeyye’s work focuses on fostering innovation, shaping digital education policies, and enhancing digital competencies through global collaboration. Beginning their career in 2013 as a National Education Expert, Sümeyye successfully managed EU-funded projects that received innovation awards from the European Commission.Sümeyye leads international initiatives on digital competence, AI, and STEAM education while representing Türkiye in key forums, including the European Digital Education Hub. Recognized for driving impactful educational transformation, Sümeyye is committed to creating innovative and digital learning opportunities for teachers and learners.
