Deputy Headteacher, Penwortham Girls' High School
have worked in education for over 20 years and am privileged to work as a Deputy Headteacher in a friendly and caring school. Developing key traits and values within our school community has become even more important in the last few years when that feeling of being connected to others has become more fragmented since COVID. As a school we have enjoyed immensely working with our staff and the student leadership team to develop person centered traits which are now more essential than ever. Working on the Empathy Week project in 2021 started a journey with our students where we engaged further with further initiatives promoting tolerance and understanding. These projects included International Women's Day, Black History month and UNITEE.
