As the Head of Education for Ukie (UK Interactive Entertainment Association), she created the highly successful Digital Schoolhouse programme, a testament to her visionary approach to integrating technology into education. Continuing to bridge the gap between industry and the classroom Shahneila created the first ever school-based esports tournament in the UK in 2016 which now sees over a thousand teams participating annually. Shahneila's authorship showcases her expertise and commitment to championing a play-based learning approach in computing education. Recognised as one of the 100 most influential women in the games industry by GI.biz and the recipient of the MCV Award for Educational Impact, Shahneila's influence extends far beyond the pages of her books. She continues to shape the national landscape of computing education, solidifying her position as a trailblazer in the intersection of education, technology, and interactive entertainment.
