The company's founders, Sarah McGuire and Sarah Watchorn, boast a combined experience of over 45 years in teaching children with dyslexia how to read. Sarah McGuire previously held the position of deputy and acting principal at a specialised reading school. Collaboratively, the two Sarahs developed a reading intervention programme for children with dyslexia and struggling readers. They established after-school centres to provide tutoring for individuals with dyslexia and jointly created a teacher training programme. Their teacher training initiative has successfully trained educators from Ireland, the UK, and Turkey. In response to the demand for incorporating personalised reading intervention through technology, the Sarahs have created MyWordPal, a reading app that employs AI-driven children's voice recognition, specifically tailored for children with dyslexia and struggling readers.
