Robert started out working in astronomy calculating heating rates in the atmosphere at UCL. He then worked for CalComp in California using graphics software on various mapping packages. 

Ropbert lectured in Computer Science and gained a PhD for applying logic programs to databases. He taught at Universities, FE/HE colleges, and at secondary schools. 

He has published many research papers and books including ‘High School and Undergraduate Physics Practicals’ CRC Press.
