Rikki Paylor
Rikki is Curriculum Director at Oldham College, providing strategic leadership for programmes serving young people, apprentices and adult learners. The portfolio spans Health & Social Care, Early Years, Science, Sport, Esports, Uniformed Protective Services, Business, Accounting, Law, Digital, and Creative & Performing Arts.
His work centres on curriculum design and reform, employer engagement and partnership development, with a focus on social mobility and community growth. This includes developing Esports curriculum in new areas, creating programmes that turn learners' interest in gaming into pathways toward the wider digital and creative industries. He sees Esports as a powerful route into careers, helping learners build technical, teamwork, communication and leadership skills that address the skills gaps employers face.
Previously, Rikki held leadership roles in Teaching, Learning and Quality, supporting curriculum innovation, staff development and improved learner outcomes. He has also served as a governor at a local primary school for over four years, leading on curriculum and contributing to the Personnel & Strategy Group and Attendance Committee.
