Rachel Shapey is passionate about supporting teachers and students around the world with composing in the classroom. She is the founder and director of the award-winning online music education platform I Can Compose. As an experienced secondary music educator, Rachel was frustrated by the lack of high-quality composing resources, so she decided to translate her classroom teaching methods into an interactive digital format. Her two HarperCollins books, “How to Teach Composition in the Secondary Classroom” and “Listen & Celebrate KS3”, have both been shortlisted for Outstanding Music Education Resource at the Music & Drama Education Awards. Rachel is an in-demand speaker for music education events and conferences.
