Alison is a former secondary school mathematics teacher who first presented her innovative use of graphing calculators at Bett in the 1990s. She has been involved in multiple national and international EdTech initiatives over the last 30 years, all of which have considered the important, evolving roles of teachers and teaching. Alison has worked with hundreds of EdTech start-ups to support them to better evidence the impact of their products. Most recently, she is a co-founder of the Global EdTech Testbed Network (www.globaledtech.org), which, provides a platform for those participating in, researching, and funding better evidence generation, alongside supporting crucial teacher professional learning.
