Dr. Ramit Debnath is an assistant professor, academic director, and the inaugural Cambridge Zero fellow at the University of Cambridge. He is also a visiting academic at Caltech and the Florence School of Regulation (Global). Dr. Debnath leads the Cambridge Collective Intelligence & Design Group to provide a data-driven, complex system-level understanding of barriers to climate action in the Anthropocene, their interactions, and how these translate to leverage points for policy and behavioural interventions at scale using design thinking. Previously, he has held positions at Caltech, Cambridge Computer Laboratory, the UN Environment Program, the International Energy Agency, Stanford University, and IIT Bombay. Ramit received his PhD from the University of Cambridge as a Gates Scholar and has a background in electrical engineering and computational social sciences.
