Pete Montgomery is the Trust Lead in Data and IT for the Fylde Coast Academy Trust, with over 23 years experience working in education. In 2024, he led the strategic technical response to a major ransomware attack, restoring critical systems. He now actively shares these lessons on resilience with the wider education sector, contributing to a DfE case study for its cyber security hub and serving as a key member of a local group of Trust IT Managers. He is implementing a new IT strategy aligned with DfE Digital Standards and Cyber Essentials, having recently completed a Trust-wide migration to a new cloud-based MIS. A certified Arbinger Outward Mindset facilitator, he embeds these principles to align technical services with educational goals.
