Paul Zevenbergen is chair of SIVON, the cooperative of more than 450 school boards in Dutch primary and secondary education. SIVON works on digitalisation, AI, digital sovereignty and the procurement of digital learning materials, so that schools stand stronger in their dealings with large (international) suppliers.

Paul has negotiated and closed deals with many of those suppliers on behalf of schools, from big tech to edtech. He is an experienced executive, supervisor and adviser who has worked in both the public and private sectors, and he is at his best where the two meet. In his view they need each other and have much to learn from each other.

His career spans education at every level, healthcare, public housing and public administration. He is driven by moving organisations forward and resolving complex issues. Freedom, justice, stewardship and gratitude guide his work, and he gets results by combining strategy with execution.
