Assistive Technology Projects Lead, Natspec TechAbility
An experienced Assistive Technologist (AT) working to help people with disabilities through technology. Experience at local, national and international levels through roles to support both in specialist/mainstream environments. European experience has come about through Erasmus project work and International experience through work in India. Sitting on the All-Party Parliamentary Group for AT and the subsequent DfE expert group has enabled learning about and contributing to policy ' notably the 2019 EdTech Policy. Co-authored the TechAbility Standards, drove the definition of the role of the AT through the ESCO Framework and delivered the Accessible Tech Thursdays webinar series for the DfE EdTech Demonstrators Programme. Now focused on TechAbility: including a network of AT Champions. Neil is a member of the Global Equality Collective.
