Michael LeBlanc
Director of Operations and IT,
St. John’s School
Canada
Michael brings nearly two decades of expertise to education and technology. After earning a BA (Hons) in History from UBC in 2002 and an MA in 2005, he pivoted from plans to teach high school social studies to a 12-year career at UBC IT, where he oversaw core collaboration services. In 2017, Michael joined St. John’s School as Director of Information Technology and now serves as Director of Operations and IT, guiding operations, risk management, and technology innovation. He also contributes to AI adoption in education and is completing a Doctorate in Education, researching teacher-led computer use in BC schools during the early 1980s as a foil to the usual charges of educational conservatism.
