Maarit Rainio is an experienced educator with 33 years of classroom teaching in foreign languages. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland, with majors in English and Russian and a minor in Swedish. She also has qualifications in special education and media education. 

Maarit integrates digital pedagogy and artificial intelligence into her teaching practice, focusing on inclusive, student-centered learning. She uses technology, gamification, and escape room–style learning to enhance engagement and support all learners.
