Lewie joined NSPCC as the Head of Gaming Partnerships in 2023, to bring together like-minded partners from across the world of gaming to advance the cause of Child Protection in games., He collaborates with the wider games industry on fundraising initiatives, sitting at the intersection between a charitable institution with a legacy of 140 years working to protect children, and a cutting-edge and rapidly evolving industry full of passionate and creative people. NSPCC has huge ambitions for working in the gaming space and with the games industry, to generate ambitious amounts of new income to advance their goal of keeping children safe. Gaming can be a great force for good, and NSPCC is very well positioned to advocate on this point to the wider world. Coming up in February 2024 is NSPCC's inaugural 'Game Safe Festival', working with partners including Publishers, Developers, Streamers, Media, Esports organisations and more, kickstarting NSPCC's big push into gaming. Culminating with the Live Final of the inaugural Game Safe Cup in Nottingham's state-of-the-art Confetti X Esports venue. A games industry veteran, before joining NSPCC Lewie worked in sales in the QA/Localisation space, Business Development in Digital Games Retailer, and has written games journalism for a variety of leading outlets.
