Leanne Hurrell is an enthusiastic and experienced leader with a rich background in the telecommunications and tech industry. Having started her career at Cable & Wireless, she navigated through account management and customer advocacy roles at Lumen and Verizon, where she not only led the EMEA Public Sector business but also pioneered the creation of the acquisition team from the ground up. Her remarkable leadership style, marked by people-focused empathy, earned her the prestigious Leader of the Year award among 500 senior executives whilst at Verizon. In 2019, Leanne transitioned to AWS, spearheading global cloud acceleration programs for strategic accounts. In April 2023 she took on the role of driving AWS efforts in the UK public sector, overseeing teams dedicated to healthcare, education, non-profit organizations, and local government. Her commitment extends beyond the professional realm; she is a vital part of the charity Reenage, actively contributing to the prevention of isolation and loneliness among the elderly.
