Lady Kirsty Grundy
Principal and Trust Primary Director, Shireland Technology Primary (part of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust)
Kirsty leads Shireland Technology Primary School, set up by founder school Shireland Collegiate Academy, that opened in September 2019. She also leads the implementation of the Education Vision and is Director across all Primaries in the Trust and is overseeing the build of another two Technology Primary Schools across the West Midlands. Kirsty draws on almost 30 years of teaching and leadership experience in both Primary and Secondary schools including over ten years leading e-learning at Shireland Collegiate Academy and believes that a creative, but structured curriculum underpinned by effective use of technology for learning can enable, engage and lead to effective, improved school outcomes. Kirsty is passionate about how technology implemented well can have an impact across the school system and has worked with the DfE advising on how technology can reduce workload, exemplified a more scientific and research led approach to Edtech innovation and is one of the founding National Leads for #WomenEdTech. She was named in the 2018 EdTech50 list of influential people and projects in the UK EdTech world.
