Lady Kirsty Grundy Principal of Shireland Technology Primary School and Director of Primary; Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust. Kirsty leads, Shireland Technology Primary School, that opened in September 2019. She also leads the implementation of the Education Vision and is Director across all Primaries in the Trust, overseeing the build of another two Technology Primary Schools across the West Midlands. Kirsty draws on 30 years of teaching and leadership experience in both Primary and Secondary schools including over ten years leading e-learning and digital strategy at Shireland Collegiate Secondary Academy and believes that a creative, but structured curriculum underpinned by effective use of technology for learning can enable, engage and lead to exceptional classroom practice and improved school outcomes. Kirsty is passionate about how technology implemented well can have an impact across the school system and has worked with the DfE advising on how technology can reduce workload, exemplified a more scientific and research led approach to Edtech innovation and is one of the founding National Leads for #WomenEdTech. She also sits on Microsoft's UK Edu Leadership Steering Group and is currently looking at how AI can reduce workload and make office processes more effective. Shireland Technology Primary was very recently judged as Outstanding with the report stating: 'The school uses technology exceptionally well to support pupils' learning.'
