Kirk Patrick
Young Kirk Patrick made his entrance into the perpetually exasperating but deeply beloved island back in 1970. Tragedy, however, has a habit of interrupting even the best-ordered homes; Kirk lost his closest brother, Merrick, when he was merely ten. In an early display of what one might call pragmatic capitalism, Merrick manufactured the goods, and young Kirk, showing an early and sensible head for figures, handled the cash as they hawked their wares about the community.
By his early twenties, while most young men were busying themselves with various forms of idle foolishness, Kirk joined the St Andrew Junior Chamber. Better yet, he actually did something useful, spearheading a project to build a retaining wall to protect local homes against their notoriously destructive rains.
In his early thirties, Kirk took a rather sharp turn into piety, joining the Seventh-day Adventists. He now devotes a formidable amount of his energy as the lead elder of his Church.
