Justin Edwards is an award-winning education leader, creative producer, and senior strategist in learning innovation, currently serving as Director of Learning Experiences at Microsoft, where he shapes the future of teaching and learning using Minecraft Education. With a career spanning classroom practice, national education leadership, AI integration, and large-scale programme design, Justin’s work sits at the intersection of technology, creativity, and meaningful learning impact.

At Microsoft, Justin leads global strategies that drive content quality, student engagement, and responsible AI adoption across the Minecraft Education ecosystem. Under his leadership, the product has developed initiatives such as AI-powered lesson creation, high-quality content pipelines, and teacher-centered design processes. His portfolio reflects a commitment to inclusion, creativity, and scaling what works across K-12, higher education, and adult skilling.

Before joining Microsoft, Justin served as Chief Executive Officer of the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA), leading a national organisation responsible for the operational delivery of examinations and assessment reform. His earlier career spans music technology, teacher education, EdTech entrepreneurship, and programme leadership. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Justin is recognised for his ability to connect policy, pedagogy, and emerging technology into actionable, high-impact learning experiences. He won the Microsoft Global Hackathon 2021 for innovations in edtech, and continues to advise on global initiatives in organisational development, workforce skills, and educator empowerment.
