Joel is a passionate Computer Science teacher and experienced Assistant Principal. He leads the Digital Strategy at St Michael’s Catholic College, a London school with nearly 1000 students, a third of whom are eligible for free school meals. He leverages technology to enhance teaching and learning, using Google Workspace for Learning and online platforms to support student progress. As a Google Reference School, St Michael’s has implemented a 1:1 laptop program. Joel also utilises Redmenta to support formative assessment strategies, enabling real-time feedback and targeted interventions in the classroom.
