Jim LaPlante brings over 30 years of expertise to education and technology. Formerly the Executive Director of Information and Innovation at Upper Canada College, Jim began as a Physics and Calculus teacher before advancing into IT leadership. He has been instrumental in technology evolution within Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) since 2004, contributing to accreditation teams and co-hosting national forums on classroom design, infrastructure, and technology programs. Now, Jim supports schools in AI strategy development, IT planning, mentorship, and privacy and cybersecurity through consulting and his privacy company.
