Jenny Anderson

Author & Host, Learnit Podcast
United Kingdom
Jenny was a finance reporter for 20 years before shifting to education. She worked at Institutional Investor magazine and the NY Post before joining the New York Times where she covered Wall Street for more than a decade. She won a Gerald Loeb award for her coverage of the 2008 financial crisis, and wrote a book that applies behavioral economics to conflict resolution in marriage (It's Not You, It's the Dishes, Random House) 2010). In 2015, Jenny shifted to education because lunches in school cafeterias are way more fun than those at the Four Seasons, and because the future of learning seemed more pressing to her than the future of finance. She spent five years at Quartz, a digitally native business publication, creating "obsessions" or beats around the Science of Learning, the Art of Parenting, the neuroscience of babies, and the future of schools. She is now the host of the LearnIt podcast, author of its newsletter, and she is working on a book about the future of learning. She lives in London with her husband and two daughters.
