Jason Mayland
Jason M Mayland is Vice President, Customer Success at Merlyn Mind, an edtech startup focused on artificial intelligence and classroom orchestration. Prior to joining Merlyn Mind, Mr. Mayland served as Vice President for Technology and Innovation, CTO, at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, Pa., where his portfolio was comprised of Information Technology, Enrollment Services, International Outreach, and Non-Credit Programs. Mr. Mayland began his career in community college administration as Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Mich., where he worked extensively on analytics and process improvement. Before working in higher education, Mr Mayland worked in both politics and public policy, including the 2000 presidential recount in Florida. Mr Mayland served in the United States Army as both an armor crewman and cavalry scout and was forward deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of SFOR12.
Mr Mayland was graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., where he completed his bachelor’s degree in History and Government. Mr Mayland then earned his master’s degree in Public Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania.
