Ian joined WJEC in 2002 and has been Chief Executive since 2020, providing strategic leadership alongside the Executive Team and Board. He also serves on the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Board. He previously held roles as Deputy Director for the National Grid for Learning project and Director of IT, following earlier work in local government leading technology strategy for education services. Beyond WJEC, Ian is Chair of the Board at The College Merthyr Tydfil and a Governor of the University of South Wales.
