Head of Education, Paideia
Ed joined Paideia in 2022, bringing his extensive experience in education and school admissions. Paideia helps children reach their choice of senior school by using a unique, science-led approach to learning. Community-focused live lessons are complemented by a gamified online platform that makes learning fun and powers exceptional progress. Alongside board experience in two multi-academy trusts, Ed has held Senior Leadership roles in safeguarding, digital strategy, and teaching and learning. He qualified with Teach First and is passionate about the role of edtech in school improvement and equity. His research background includes using machine learning in a mixed methods study of children's creative writing, the place of VR in the secondary classroom, and the impacts of cultural regeneration initiatives. Ed now leads on Paideia's curriculum development and student progress.
