Dr Lucy Zhu is a Lecturer in Esports at the University of Northampton, UK. Before completing her PhD in esports, Lucy completed her BA in Accounting and Finance, and MSc in International Management with a specialism in Marketing from the University of Exeter with Distinction. Previously, Lucy has worked as an esports centre manager at Glasgow and a guest mentor at esports academies.  

Lucy is passionate about bridging esports research with industry practices. She conducts award-winning esports research at international conferences in traditional sports and esports, published her research in various international peer-reviewed journals, and delivered guest speaker sessions at multiple esports events for education institutions, consulting companies, ESI, and British Esports. As an Esports BSc Programme Leader, and an external examiner for multiple Higher Education esports courses, Lucy is committed to quality esports education, EDI issues, and esports industry sustainability.
