Dr Larry Rother
Global Education Strategist, Intel
Dr. Larry Rother serves as Intel's Global Education Strategist, leading the planning and execution of Intel's Edu 2.0 strategies. Larry's background as a career educational leader drives his work to thoughtfully design and transform how Intel can deliver solutions to the market that honors the commitment to enrich learning and teaching experiences. The over twenty years of experience working directly with school leaders, teachers and students gives Larry a unique real-world understanding of the problems facing the field of education and the innovative solutions needed to address these needs. Larry's career began teaching high school social studies and political science outside of Albany, NY. Upon earning a master's degree in Educational Leadership, he moved to Arizona to be closer to family and began his work in public school leadership. The schools he led increased their overall enrolment of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses by increasing access and utilizing innovative programs and educational technology to improve academic achievement. During Larry's tenure, these schools earned three Arizona Education Foundation A+ School of Excellence Awards. Prior to joining Intel, Larry served as the Senior Executive Director of Educational Services in the Chandler Unified School District where he was responsible for the strategic implementation of district initiatives including diversity and inclusion, digital learning, innovative partnerships, and federal programs. Larry has been recognized as the Arizona Secondary Principal of the Year, served as the Arizona School Administrator's Secondary Division President-Elect and was selected as a member National Association of Secondary School Principal's Board of Directors. Larry received a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
