Julie is Head of Digital Education, Deputy Director of Learning Enhancement and Development, and Senior Lecturer in Educational Development at City University, London. Julie is responsible for overseeing key institutional projects in the areas of digital accessibility, digital literacies, generative AI and learning analytics. She teaches on City's MA Academic Practice on modules related to digital education, digital literacies and open practice.
Julie is actively involved with the sector as Chair of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) M25-LT group and member of the Digital Education Group for UCISA, the member-led professional body for digital practitioners in education. She has a PhD from Lancaster University and her research focusses on institutional support for Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) within UK Higher Education. She holds Principal Fellow and Senior CMALT (Certified Member of ALT).
