Originally from Ireland and educated at the University of Chester, Deborah is a dedicated leader in online safety and education technology. She has worked in the Education Department of Welsh Government for 13 years, leading on safeguarding in education and online safety. Through Hwb, Welsh Government's Digital Learning platform for learning and teaching, she has championed digital safety by driving a collaborative approach with sector leaders to ensure the best for children and young people in Wales. As Head of the EdTech Unit, Deborah oversees three branches of specialists and policy advisors responsible for digital resilience, EdTech delivery, and digital maturity. She is passionate about online safety and building digital resilience for young learners in Wales.
