David Olinger David is an experienced leader in education and technology strategy, bringing over two decades of expertise in K-12 education. His career encompasses roles such as teacher, Director of Social and Emotional Learning, Director of Educational Technology, and CIO, each contributing to his comprehensive approach to empowering schools and educators through transformative technology. As a National Board-Certified Teacher and PROSCI Practitioner, David offers extensive knowledge in change management and educational transformation. David led the first school in Seattle to attain Microsoft Showcase School status. Over the past nine years, he has continued to advance his school's integration of Microsoft technologies with a focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), developing accessible learning environments that support student agency. Recognized as both a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert and MIE Fellow, he collaborates with educators worldwide, leveraging strategic insights to enhance teaching and learning within Microsoft's ecosystem. As the founder of the IST conference, now in its ninth year, David advocates for global professional learning and the development of online communities, creating platforms for educators to share, learn, and innovate collaboratively. His work as a consultant and trainer underscores his commitment to building educator capacity. Dedicated to fostering collaboration and partnership, David aims to shape the future of learning by aligning digital tools with pedagogical best practices, ensuring classrooms are equipped to meet the diverse needs of today's students.
