Darren Hemming is Chief Operating Officer at Cloud Design Box, where he leads the development and delivery of practical Microsoft 365 solutions that support teaching, assessment, and learning at scale.

A former teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and ICT, Darren brings first-hand classroom experience to his work, with a particular focus on how technology can reduce workload while improving the quality of feedback and learning outcomes. He has worked with Microsoft platforms for over two decades, including extensive experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Forms, and now supports schools in applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot in meaningful, responsible ways.

Darren has worked with hundreds of schools and trusts to design processes that are efficient for teachers and engaging for students, helping organisations move from manual, time-consuming tasks to smarter, more sustainable digital practice.

His approach combines strategic thinking with practical demonstration, ensuring that new tools are not just impressive, but genuinely useful in the realities of the classroom.

Outside of work, Darren is a passionate fan of musical theatre, a keen surfer, and enjoys long walks in the countryside.
