Daire Maria Ní Uanachain is an educator, researcher, and learning designer with over 20 years of experience in secondary and international classrooms. Her MSc research, conducted in her own Geography classroom in Rome, showed measurable gains in student motivation and engagement through curriculum co-creation and now underpins the Ephegogy framework and a forthcoming title in the Learning Reconfigured series. She leads AI and learning design training through DMNU Learning Design and contributes to European policy discussions through the European Digital Education Hub. She has presented at practitioner and academic conferences including EARLI-JURE 2025, AIducation 2026, and the National Education Show Ireland, and won Best Poster at the AI and Creativity Academic Workshop in Nice in 2024. Her work appears in Thresholds in Education, with forthcoming publications through Emerald Publishing and Routledge.
