Becki has over 20 years of experience as an educator in secondary schools in Wales, where she has taught ICT, Computer Science and Digital Competence, amongst other subjects including Psychology and Religious Education. She has held various leadership roles, such as Head of Department, Acting Assistant Headteacher and Digital Lead Practitioner and is currently seconded as a Professional Advisor to the Welsh Government for Digital and Emerging Technology, supporting the development and implementation of digital policies and strategies for schools.
Becki is passionate about using existing and emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning, as well as to develop digital skills and competencies for learners and educators. She has delivered professional learning sessions, workshops and webinars for teachers, school leaders and policy makers on topics related to digital education.
She is an EdTech50 Educator, a member of the Global Equality Collective (GEC) and the EdTechUK Advisory Forum
She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Management and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree at Cardiff University, where her thesis focuses on the translation of policy into practice in schools around teacher digital skills.
