As Chair of the AI Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, Azizjon Azimi leads implementation of the country’s National AI Strategy through 2040. An AI entrepreneur from Tajikistan, he is an alumnus of Stanford University (MBA 2021, Knight-Hennessy Scholar) and Harvard University (MPP 2021). He founded A7σ, an AI holding company spanning foundational and applied AI, green AI compute, and talent development, with presence in Tajikistan and the UAE. Its flagship venture, zypl.ai, develops synthetic AI agents for financial services and is backed by global investors including Prosus, serving over 60 financial institutions in more than 20 countries. He is also leading the launch of Area AI, a national AI technopark in Dushanbe. Previously, he founded TajRupt, an education nonprofit, and was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.
