Andrew began his career as a newspaper journalist, starting out at his local paper and going on to write for several national tabloids and broadsheets. He began his time at the BBC in news, working in local radio and 5 Live before joining Newsround as a producer and then Deputy Editor. He wrote and produced for a variety of CBBC TV shows before becoming Head of the CBBC and CBeebies YouTube channels and then Series Producer for CBBC HQ & CBeebies House. He joined Bitesize in 2021 as an Executive Producer and now oversees the Teens portfolio, focusing on non-curriculum content around media literacy, student support, careers and parenting.
